We shall keep our alcohol amounts just like you get if you visited a bar, meaning that every drink will have about 4cl of spirit. Feel free to add or reduce some ingredients in search for higher self.

We shall start with the renowned Tom Collin’s;

1.    Tom Collin’s

We suggest you make these drinks using two different methods and then judge what works for you, otherwise just go for the first method we suggest. The standard method for a tom Collin’s is to build the drink. That is, in a tall (Collin’s) glass filled with ice, pour in the alcohol, syrup, lemon juice and then topple with soda. Stir gently and garnish. A variation of this of this would be with crushed ice. You could also substitute the gin with vodka or tequila, and you will still have delicious options.

Ingredients

·        4 cl gin

·        3 cl lemon juice

·        3 cl syrup

·        8 cl soda

2.    Tequila Sunrise

Even though this is typically a summer drink, you will still enjoy it throughout autumn. Like the Tom Collin’s, the Tequila sunrise is also built. Fill a high ball glass with ice and add alcohol and lemon juice and stir gently. Drop in a dash of grenadine to create the sunset-effect.

Ingredients

·        4 cl tequila

·        12 cl orange juice

·        1 cl grenadine

3.    Paloma

This is truly a favourite because of its bitterness brough to table by grape juice. You will love it on the tongue while eating or while having a night out or night in. Have it whenever, wherever with whomever! Add all ingredients into a high ball glass salted on the rim and stir then add ice. Balance the taste to your palate using the simple syrup or lemon juice or soda water. This makes a fantastic drink with gin also!

·        4 cl grape juice

·        4 cl soda water

·        1 cl lime juice

4.    Old fashioned

The old fashioned is one of the most popular whiskey cocktails owing to the simplicity in making it and the fact that it suits all occasions. It is specifically class when you are with your group of friends who love whiskey. Raise your ranks by introducing this cocktail to them. You may end up not needing any other drink for the rest of the evening.

To make an old fashioned, add the sugar of your choice, (we like it brown) water and the bitters into an old-fashioned glass and mix until the sugar is dissolved or almost dissolved completely. Add big cubes of ice and then the whiskey. Bourbon or rye will do. Stir gently to chill and garnish with an orange peel. Squeeze the peel over the drink to release oils and aromas before dropping it in.

·        4 cl Bourbon

·        2 dashes bitters

·        1 tsp sugar

·        1 teaspoon water

·        Orange to garnish
